This might sound like plenty of time, but it feels like tomorrow when you have so many things to get done. It’s been around 2 months since we’ve decided to do this and a month and a half since we’ve started putting money aside and make an actual plan.
I stopped doing unnecessary shopping (I still have clothes with the price tag in my closet) and I kinda sorted with what I’m actually using and what’s been there for months so it will be easier when I’ll have to decide what to squeeze in a backpack.
What was also very useful in order to make some extra money was renting my room on Airbnb as we have 3 dorms in our flat in the city centre of Barcelona. My friend and I realised we weren’t really using the apartment, as both of us work full-time and with different schedules, so we were barely at home. We also went on holiday in September so we thought, why not? We had it open for around 1 month and a half. It’s not much, but trust me, it made a difference in then end and we’ve met some very nice people from Canada, Poland, England, Sweden, Czech Republic and Australia.
Update:I’ve just received an e-mail informing me that I’ve become a Superhost on Airbnb, woohoo!
For the next 2 months I’m going to work like crazy, with only a few days of holiday I took off for Andrei birthday, when I’m going to Romania. After that, I’m quitting my job a little bit earlier, around 12th of December, so I can have time to spend with my family and friends and be home on Christmas.
I did my research on yoga schools in Rishikesh that offer the Yoga Teacher Training Certificate that best suits my schedule and needs. This took me more than 2 weeks to decide as there are many option for starting date, price, courses and location. I started with a top 10 list of schools and ended up with 3. An important aspect of choosing the final one was their flexibility on allowing me to come with a second person that won’t be joining the course, but will share the room with me. Some of them didn’t allow to come with another person unless he’s joining the program, while others had a tremendous price for this. Eventually, after sending many e-mails, I made my decision. The school that I want to join is Tattvaa Yogashala . And it’s not only because of Andrei, but it’s also one of the few schools that have a Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Program that starts on the 3rd of January. I talked to them and the actual booking will be made when I send them the deposit, but I will do this only after getting my visa.
Later edit: 3 weeks before leaving I’ve changed my mind regarding the school and booked Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center, which I recommend with all my heart!
Important aspect indeed, getting the visa. Maybe I’m stressing and I shouldn’t, but trust me, I’ve been through this once and it’s hard to deal with (my visa application for Canada was rejected when I was 19 and I had planned this beautiful summer as a graduation present with my cousins, so no thanks!).
Overall, I should probably go to more yoga classes and do more meditation so I can keep my mind nice and quiet, but it becomes harder and harder as I’m invaded by 26,458 thoughts, ALL AT ONCE.
Keep in touch,
